On November 29 and 30, delegations led by Professor Suprijadi Haryono, Dean of the Graduate School of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and by Professor Dalhar Susanto, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia (UI), respectively visited South China University (CSU). Vice President Guo Xueyi, and main leaders from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, School of Metallurgy and Environment and School of International Education attended the meeting.

During the meeting with ITB, Guo Xueyi, on behalf of CSU, proposed future cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and collaborative scientific research, so as to support the China-Indonesia “Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project”. Suprijadi believed that the two universities are highly similar in academic settings and educational objectives. He wishes that the two universities can expand cooperation in areas such as joint education of postgraduate students and collaborative scientific research by relying on the “China-Indonesia Joint Research Laboratory of New Energy Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Technology” that has already been set up.

During the meeting with UI, the two sides exchanged specific opinions on future cooperation in areas such as joint education of dual degree programs, faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative scientific research.
