On December 6-7, Kim Dale, Assistant Vice Principal (International), Richard Ingram, Academic Regional Lead for East Asia, and Zhi Qiu Finlay, Director of China, from University of Dundee (UOD), visited Central South University (CSU). Main leaders from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, School of Basic Medical Science (SBMS), School of Life Sciences (SLS) and Dundee International Institute (DII) participated in the exchange activities.
At the meeting, the participants made suggestions on the cooperation in joint doctoral education, scientific research cooperation, and postdoctoral work, and discussed the expansion of disciplines for future cooperation. Kim Dale also proposed to accelerate talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation in life science-related fields from his specialty in life science.
During the visit, Kim Dale had in-depth exchanges with the main leaders of SBMS, SLS and DII, held a lunch meeting with the foreign teachers appointed by DII, and carried out interactive exchanges with the students of SLS. Richard Ingram delivered a lecture on career development titled “Help, Hope and Humanity” to the students of DII and participated in the DII faculty-student consultative meeting.
