
Dr. Jiang Tao
Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Expert in the Extractive Metallurgy of Refractory Gold and Silver Ores, Comprehensive Utilization of Complex and Hard-to-Treat Ores, Agglomeration and Direct Reduction of Mineral Raw Materials, Short-Process Steel Metallurgy
Dr. Jiang Tao, born in October 1963 in Huaibei, Anhui Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He received his Ph.D. in Mineral Processing Engineering from the Central South University of Technology in January 1991 and was promoted to Professor later that year. From 2000 to 2002, he pursued advanced studies at the University of Utah in the United States before returning to China in December 2002. He is currently a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering at CSU. He also serves as Deputy Director of the Technical Committee of the National Engineering Research Center of Sintering and Pelletizing Equipment System and Deputy Director of the Metallurgical Solid Waste Resource Utilization Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals. He previously served as Chair of the Pyrometallurgy Technical Committee of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) in the United States. In 2021, Dr. Jiang was elected an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Biography
Dr. Jiang Tao received his Ph.D. from the Central South University of Technology (now CSU) in 1990 and was exceptionally promoted to Professor in 1991.
In 2000, he pursued advanced studies at the University of Utah in the United States and returned to China in December 2002. He is currently a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering at CSU and is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
