He Xuhui, male, born in December 1975, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is also a professor.He previously served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Civil Engineering, as well as Dean of the Undergraduate School at Central South University. Currently, he is a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Central South University.
His main research interestsincludewind engineering, bridge engineering, and disaster prevention in civil engineering.
He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2019), recognized as a leading talent in the National“Ten Thousand Talents Program”(2019), and is an expert with State Council Special Allowance.He has led projects that received one second prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award and one second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, and participated in projects awarded one first prize of the State Technological Invention Award and two second prizes of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award. He has also received honors including the National Award for Excellence in Innovation, the Outstanding Popular Science Work Award, the Xplorer Prize funded by Tencent, the Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Award (Achievement Award), the Mao Yisheng Railway Science and Technology Award, the Hunan Provincial May 1 Labor Medal, and the title of “Most Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Hunan Province.”
He is a member of the 13th Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
He oversees science and technology, logistics, environmental and cultural heritage protection, and infrastructure development.
