Professor Jiao Yong, born in November 1979, is Vice President of Central South University (CSU) and a member of the Standing Committee of the University’s CPC Committee. He holds a PhD in Science and is a member of the Communist Party of China. His previous leadership roles include Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, as well as Director of CSU’s Department of Strategic Development & Discipline Construction.
His research focuses on noncommutative analysis and probability theory.
Professor Jiao is a recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund (2017) and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2021). He has led a Key International Cooperation Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His honors include the First Prize of the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Award and the First Prize of the Hunan Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, as well as recognition as an Outstanding CPC Member in the Hunan education system.
In his administrative capacity, he oversees financial affairs, institutional development planning, the Double First-Class initiative, and campus safety and security.
