Yi Hong
Secretary of CPC Committee
Yi Hong, male, Han nationality, was born in April 1963, and is a CPC member, master, doctor and professor. He served as the Vice President, Managing Vice President, President and Secretary of CPC Committee of Southeast University, and now serves as the Secretary of CPC Committee of Central South University.
Major research area: Advanced manufacturing technology.
He was elected as national candidate of the New Century Talents Project (2007), and obtained the Special Governmental Allowance of the State Council. He was awarded the title of “Outstanding Member of the Communist Party” of Jiangsu Province and “Jiangsu Youth May Fourth Medal”. He has won 6 provincial and ministerial-level awards for scientific and technological advancement and 1 national-level teaching achievement award (second prize).
He was elected as the deputy to the 11th and 12th National People’s Congress and the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
He presides over the comprehensive work of the Party Committee of the University.
