On July 1, Imasiku Anayawa Nyambe, Vice Chancellor of the Copperbelt University (CBU) in Zambia visited Central South University (CSU) with his delegation. CSU President Li Jiancheng and Vice President Li Zhihong met with the guests. The meeting was also attended by leaders of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and relevant schools of CSU.
Li Jiancheng extended a warm welcome to Imasiku Anayawa Nyambe and his delegation. He introduced the basic information on CSU's academic characteristics, talent training, and scientific research, expecting deeper cooperation in fields such as mining, based on relevant advantageous disciplines and companies run by alumni. Imasiku Anayawa Nyambe expressed his gratitude to CSU for the warm welcome, and gave a brief introduction to CBU. He looked forward to cooperating with CSU in expansion of infrastructure construction, increase in the added value of mineral resources, and new energy domains such as solar energy, and expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CSU. Li Zhihong hoped that the two universities exchange on specific cooperation projects in realms such as mining, architecture and transportation, thereby facilitating the signing of MOU.
At the meeting, leaders of relevant schools introduced the basic information on the schools and disciplinary settings, and respectively proposed some directions of cooperation.
Imasiku Anayawa Nyambe and his delegation also visited the laboratory of the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering.
