On the morning of September 20, Maria José Castro Rojas, the Deputy Minister of Education of Chile, Enid Mercedes Hill Carreras, the Deputy Minister of Dominica, and Amo Amin Mohamed Adley, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education of Egypt, visited Central South University accompanied by Xu Wei, the Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Department of Education.
In the symposium themed “Communication, Cooperation and Development”, Xu Wei introduced the general situation of education development in Hunan Province and Zhou Kechao, the Vice President of CSU, introduced CSU’s disciplinary advantages and international exchange programs and achievements. The three ministers of education made a brief introduction to the basic situation of education in their countries respectively and expressed their expectations and intentions for education cooperation with colleges and universities in Hunan Province in Chinese training, teacher and student exchanges and scientific research. During the free talk time, Zhou Kechao shared with Mohamed Adley the experience of CSU in encouraging scientific researchers to participate in scientific problem tackling and technology transfer.
After the symposium, the three ministers met with the representatives of students from their respective countries.
Related officials from Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, Xiangtan University, Hunan Agricultural University and Hunan Vocational and Technical College also attended the symposium.
