About the lecturer:
Sir Christopher Pissarides, who received his doctor degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1973, is a Fellow of the British Academy, a Regius Professor of the London School of Economics and a member of the Academy of Athens. He was granted the IZA Prize in Labor Economics in 2005, and owing to his outstanding contributions to the market search theory and the macro economy, he won the 2010 Nobel Prize in Economics. Sir Christopher Pissarides focuses on research in macro-economics, especially in labor, economic growth and economic policy.
