Conference Aims:

The rapid development of high-speed railway in China has actually brought a worldwide renaissance to rail transportation, and forming a new structure of relevant technology and industry. Whereas a number of challenges during high-speed railway construction and operation need to be solved for ensuing safety and sustainability, especially considering the technology innovation with a multi-disciplinary integration. IFHR 2017 will provide the world’s leading railway and transportation scientists and engineers with a forum to share recent experiences and new information on the many aspects of high-speed rail, bridge engineering, and tunneling. Presentations at the forum will focus on practical topics related to the analysis, design and construction of high-speed rail for service conditions and natural and man-made hazards, and for long-term operational management. The aims of this forum respond to the national-level key strategies on the “One Belt and One Road” and “Go Global” initiatives, and on the development of high-speed railway in China. IFHR 2017 is expected to further enhance the innovation capability and international influence of Chinese high-speed railway science & technology, industry, and service, and hence drive globally the transformative rail technologies and innovation pattern of development.
