From June 23 to 27, Vice President He Jun led a delegation of Central South University (CSU) to Russia, aiming to implement the important consensus between the Chinese and Russian heads of state on hosting the China-Russia Year of Education. The delegation visited Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University and Siberia Federal University, conducted a survey at the Moscow Representative Office of SANY Heavy Industry, and held an overseas talent exchange meeting to deepen China-Russia inter-university cooperation and expand university-enterprise collaborative education.

At Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University, Vice President He met with Alexander Dmitrievich Kulagin, Acting Rector of the university, and Sergey Anatolyevich Karpishchenko, Vice Rector of the university. He expressed the hope to further advance faculty-student exchange programs, joint student cultivation programs, and research collaboration by building on the two universities’ cooperative ties and leveraging their disciplinary strengths in medicine. The two sides reached a consensus of intent to renew the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two universities.

During the visit, the delegation held an overseas young scholars exchange meeting in St. Petersburg, where they presented CSU’s talent recruitment policies, held in-depth exchanges with young talents, and invited outstanding overseas talents to join CSU.

At Siberian Federal University, Vice President He met with Denis S. Guts, Vice Rector of the university, and others. The two sides expressed the hope to further expand the scale of two-way student exchanges, improve the long-term mechanism for faculty-student mutual visits, and continuously promote disciplinary co-building and regular, in-depth academic exchanges by leveraging advantageous disciplines such as automation, aerospace and information technology.

Meet with Representatives of Siberian Federal University

At the Moscow Representative Office of SANY Heavy Industry, the two sides held a special seminar on localized talent cultivation, conducting in-depth exchanges on exploring distinctive talent training models that feature university-enterprise collaboration, industry-education integration and China-Russia connectivity.

Representatives from CSU’s Office of Talent and Faculty Development, the School of Automation, the School of International Education and the Third Xiangya Hospital attended relevant events.
