From June 1 to 9, Jiang Jianxiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of CSU, joined a 2025 higher-education delegation to Brazil and Chile organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) to strengthen cooperation between CSU and universities and research institutions in Latin America.
On June 3, Jiang took part in the China-Brazil Presidents’ Dialogue, jointly hosted by the Chinese side and the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES), where he delivered a presentation on industry-education integration and collaborative talent cultivation.He highlighted CSU’s cooperation with Vale S.A. and the Federal University of Minas Gerais, outlining joint efforts in education and scientific research, innovative talent-training pathways, and the development of high-level research collaboration platforms.

As part of the visit, Jiang called on a number of leading universities, including the University of Brasília, the University of São Paulo, São Paulo State University, Universidad San Sebastián, the University of Chile, and the University of Los Lagos.
In Brazil, Jiang held in-depth exchanges with faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Brasília and the School of Economics, Business, Accounting and Actuarial Science at the University of São Paulo. Discussions focused on promoting cooperation in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and business disciplines, with both sides expressing strong interest in jointly cultivating internationally oriented talent.

In Chile, Jiang attended the China-Chile Higher Education Exchange Meeting and held extensive discussions with representatives from more than 20 Chilean universities and institutions. The talks addressed expanding bilateral student exchanges, jointly developing online teaching resources, launching summer schools, and exploring the establishment of joint degree programs.
The delegation was accompanied by representatives from CSU’s Graduate School.
