On November 8, a delegation led by Hasan Çapan, President of the Turkish Chinese Friendship Foundation (TCFF), visited CSU. CSU Vice President Li Zhihong met with them, along with relevant heads of the Management Office of Scientific Research, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, the Xiangya School of Medicine, the School of Humanities, and the School of Traffic & Transportation Engineering.
Li gave a warm welcome to the TCFF delegation, and briefly introduced CSU, and the educational cooperation between CSU and Turkish colleges and universities. He hoped the visit of the TCFF delegation could further promote scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges between CSU and Turkish colleges, universities and research institutes. Li noted these endeavors aim to train more top-notch talents and contribute to the socioeconomic development of China and Turkey.
TCFF President Hasan Çapan emphasized that their visit to China is to foster Chinese-Turkish friendship and find a premier platform for cooperation. He expressed his hope for enhancing talent exchanges and scientific research collaboration through faculty and student exchange programs. At the same time, Hasan Çapan aspired to establish a Chinese-Turkish think tank with the help of CSU’s strengths in research and talent resources, to promote broader and higher-level cooperation, ultimately contributing to the creation of a multipolar world.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged ideas on further expanding collaboration between CSU and relevant higher education institutions in Turkey. They anticipated the implementation of more cooperation projects based on the existing foundation, aiming to open a new chapter in Chinese-Turkish educational cooperation.
