Tian Hongqi Leads a Delegation to Visit America and Canada

Tian Hongqi, the president of CSU led a delegation to America and Canada for working visit on April 7 to 14 for the purpose of building CSU into a “Double First Class” University, construcing a global partnership network of CSU, establishing oversea talents cultivation bases and deepening the cooperation with world-class universities.

The delegation visitedYale University, University of Pittsburgh and University of British Columbia. Tian Hongqi has signed aMemorandum of Cooperation and an MD/MPH double-degree agreement with Peter Salovey, President of Yale University, a Memorandum of Cooperation with Patrick Gallagher, President of University of Pittsburgh, and also a Memorandum of Cooperation with Santa Ono, President ofUniversity of British Columbia.

During the visit, Tian Hongqi had informal discussion with some CSU students inYale University and University of Pittsburgh, encouraged them to learn hard and become propagandist of CSU and envoy of friendship for the cooperation.

This visit further deepens the long-term cooperation in medical domain withYale University and University of Pittsburgh, widens the cooperation in other fields and promotes all-round cooperation with University of British Columbia.

Yang Chunhua, Dean of School of Automation, Hu Guoqing, Dean of Xiangya School of Public Health, Zhang Xin, Party Secretary of Xiangya Hospital and Gao Dongbo, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office were also in the delegation.
