On the afternoon of Oct. 10, Prof. Faaiz Amir, President of Air University and Mr. Ibraheem Haneef from its International Cooperation Department paid a visit to CSU. The two sides had a meeting hosted by Zhou Kechao, Vice President of CSU, at the No. 1 Meeting Room of No. 1 Office Building.
President Tian Hongqi introduced the historical inheritance and disciplinary characteristics of CSU. She said, Pakistani and Chinese people have established a solid friendship and the “Belt and Road” initiative has brought good opportunities for cooperation between Pakistan and China, especially in educational exchange. What’s especially surprising is that President Faaiz Amir has joined the project of “Thunder” combat aircraft jointly developed by PakistanandChina. We believe that the two universities will have a good prospect of cooperation based on making full use of discipline advantages.
President Faaiz Amir was deeply impressed by the disciplinary development and characteristics of CSU, especially such predominant disciplines as rail traffic, medicine and nonferrous metals and expressed his wish to promote cooperation between Air University and CSU in talent cultivation and scientific research in their common predominant disciplines. Besides, Faaiz Amir sincerely invited President Tian Hongqi to visitAir University at a proper time.
