News – According to the data of Essential Science Indicators (hereinafter referred to as ESI) of Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property and Technology Business Division) updated on May 11, 2017 (Beijing time), both immunology, psychiatry and psychology of Central South University cracked the top 1% of ESI for the first time. Till then, Central South University had 13 disciplines (sectors) within the top 1% of ESI, ranking itself the tied 12th among 985 universities in China, and moving up 3 places since March, 2017.
According to the retrieval data of data bases from January 1, 2017 to February 28, 2017 after the above updating, Central South University had published 371 ESI-cited studies in immunology and the accumulative citations of such studies were 4009 times, ranking it the 624th among the 667 research institutes within the top 1% in the world in immunology. As shown in the data, it published 369 ESI-cited studies in psychiatry and psychology during this period and the accumulative citations of such studies were 3493 times, ranking it the 587th among the 591 research institutes with in the top 1% in the world in in psychiatry and psychology.
Altogether, the ESI-cited study of Central South University has increased to 28225, the citation to 22037, and the average citation for each study to 7.81, ranking Central South University among the top 1%institutions (5352) of ESI in the world and moving it up from 497 in March to 467 in terms of citation.
