On the afternoon of April 27, headed by Ms. Wendy Alexander, a delegation of four paid a visit to CSU. School leaders involved in the meeting with the delegation included Zhou Kechao, Vice President of CSU, Li Jie, assistant to the President and Dean of the Graduate School, deans or directors of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Undergraduate School and School of Life Sciences as well as representatives from Schools of Nursing, Civil Engineering and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Xiangya Medical Education Office.
On behalf of CSU, Zhou Kechao extended a warm welcome to the delegation, with the hope that the cooperation between the two universities would be promoted through the visit. For the thoughtful reception received, Ms. Alexander expressed her appreciation and further displayed the will to facilitate the cooperation.
Afterwards, the two parties discussed on the establishing of CSU and Dundee International School. They exchanged ideas on topics like the level, majors, and size of the education, introduction of courses, appointment of teachers and educational costs, tentatively selecting five majors to apply for approval, namely, biomedicine, nursing, diabetes management, public health and medical image. They agreed that deans of relevant schools and staff of management sectors involved had better communicate in person as soon as possible, suggesting that CSU send a delegation to Dundee for further consultation by June and the University of Dundee pay a return visit in September. A preliminary scheme is supposed to come out before the end of this year.
