On October 21, a formula car with cool appearance was officially released at CSU. Handmade by the students of CSU, this racing car has created a record--- the first all-electric formula car with power batteries and motors as the power source in Hunan Province. In November this year, the team from CSU will on behalf of Hunan colleges and universities participate in the Electric Group of Formula SAE of China held in Shanghai. From the team’s formation in November, 2014 to cars’ trail building in January, 2015 and to the release of cars on Oct. 21, it took the formula racing team of CSU only 10-odd months to make a car starting from scratch. And the team has also developed from the primary 10 to the present 55 members.
Huang Minghui, Dean of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, CSU introduced that this team, belonging to Department of Vehicle Engineering under School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, is a project team composed by students from the Department of Operations Management and Department of Technology. Members of the team are from not only School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, but also many other faculties.
