Visit to CSU Transparent Computing Laboratory by Michael Greene, Vice President of Intel

On July 9, the delegation led by Michael Greene, Vice President of Intel Corporation came to CSU, conducted in-depth exchanges on the development and cooperation of transparent computing technology with the members of CSU Transparent Computing Lab project team and visited the lab. Representatives from China’s New Cloud Network Company attended the event.

On the morning of that day, Zhang Yaoxue, President of CSU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering met with the delegation of Intel Corporation. Both sides agreed that with the coming of mobile Internet era, conditions for the research and application of transparent computing were ripening day after day and the prophecy of the changes it might bring on people’s way of thinking and living was turning into reality. Intel was looking forward to more and more in-depth cooperation with CSU, especially hoping to exert the advantages and potential of transparent computing in such a field with broad market prospects as research and application of mobile devices.
 

 


Afterwards, Michael Greene, together with representatives from New Cloud Network Company came to the transparent computing labs of the North Shenghua Building to conduct communications and seminars on the follow-up cooperation. On the seminar, CSU and Intel introduced the progress of research and development of transparent computing projects and the work plan for the next stage respectively; representatives from New Cloud Network Company briefed the progress of Hunan Construction Engineering projects; Professor Li Jianbin, Dean of School of Information Security and Big Data Research introduced the Big Data Institute of CSU and the construction of the big data platform.

After the meeting, accompanied by transparent computing project team members, representatives from Intel and New Cloud Network Company visited the Big Data Institute and big data exhibition center of CSU, Hunan Construction Engineering Project Verification Test Environment and transparent computing applications platform of School of Foreign Languages, CSU. The delegation led by Vice President Michael Greene sang high praise and recognition on the work of transparent computing laboratory.

On that afternoon, the delegation of Intel led by Michael Greene, representatives from New Cloud Network and CSU, paid a visit to Hunan Construction Engineering Group, to learn its progress in the implementation of transparent computing.
