Yale-China Association Delegation Visits Central South University

On the afternoon of October 18, the delegation of Yale-China Association, led by Ms. Liang Ping, Board Chair of the Association, visited our university. Tian Hongqi, President of Central South University (CSU) met the guest in the 2nd Meeting Room of the No.1 Office Building of the headquarters. Vice presidents Chen Chunyang and Chen Lizhang, and leaders from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Department of Hospital Administration, Xiangya School of Medicine, Xiangya School of Public Health and Xiang Ya Nursing School of CSU attended the meeting.

Tian Hongqi looked back the history between our university and Yale-China Association and expressed the gratitude for long-term support from Yale-China Association. She hoped both sides will strengthen the cooperation in terms of eight-year exchange program, resident doctor training program and Chia Family Foundation program. She said CSU will provide full support and wished the cooperation between both sides will be deeper and longer.

Liang Ping recalled the over-one-hundred-year friendship between XiangYa School of Medicine and Yale-China Association, especially appreciated the cooperation program between CSU and Yale University facilitated by Yale-China Association in the field of medical care and health, and looked into the future of cooperation between two sides in next stage. Mr. David Youtz, executive director of Yale-China Association reported the cooperation programs in the meeting.

Both sides discussed and planned the landing and implementation of MD/MPH Program, Global Health Summer Course and Western Hunan Plan, etc. in the meeting.
