On the morning of December 10, Monash University's joint cultivation briefing session targeted for undergraduates in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and other subjects was held at the International Lecture Hall of Century Building. An expert panel from Monash University led by Professor Jeffrey Walker, Dean of Civil Engineering, and Professor Wang Huanting, Vice Director of College of Engineering and School of Information Technology, introduced the Direct Bus for Master Degree and Double Master Program to more than 100 undergraduates in relevant subjects.

Monash University is one of the top 40 well-known universities in the world and one of the eight most prestigious institutes in Australia. After giving a brief introduction to Monash University, Professor Jeffrey Walker concretely introduced the enrollment modes and relevant policies geared to CSU undergraduates majoring in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Fire Fighting Engineering and other subjects. The enrollment modes fall into two categories, "3+1" and "2+2". The "2+2" double degree program is separated into two learning phases: students first study at CSU for two years during which time professors from Monash University will offer corresponding courses and then students go further study at Monash University for two years where they will obtain the Master by Course degree. As for the "3+1"  mode, students first study at CSU for three years and then study at Monash University for one more year. To further obtain the Master's degree, they can either return back to CSU or stay in Australia for one to two years. After completing all the courses set by  "2+2 " and "3+1" modes, students have the option to stay at Monash University studying for a doctor's degree. Undergraduates can obtain Master's degree or double degree at Monash University on condition that they get all the required credits within fixed academic years.

Besides, Professor Jeffrey Walker specially mentioned scholarships, allowance and required IELTS/TOEFL scores for undergraduates. Afterwards, Professor Wang Huanting commented on Professor Jeffrey Walker's speech and further explained the Direct Bus for Master Degree or Double Master Program of Monash University in detail.
