Guo Xueyi

Vice President

Guo Xueyi, male, was born in October 1966, in Changsha Hunan Province. He started working in December 1995. He obtained Ph.D. of Nonferrous Metallurgy and has been entitled as professor & Ph.D. supervisor at Department of Nonferrous Metallurgy at Central South University. Currently he is vice president of Central South University.

He had been taking bachelor’s, master's and doctor’s study in nonferrous metallurgy at Department of Nonferrous Metallurgy of Central South University from September 1985 to December 1995. From January 1996 to September 1998, he worked at State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy, Central South University as postdoctoral position. From September 1998 to September 1999, he became associate professor at Metallurgical Science and Engineering of Central South University of Technology. From October 1999 to September 2000, he went to Japan at Faculty of Science and Technology Saga University as researcher; then during October 2000 to December 2002 the visiting professor at International Co-production Research Center at the University of Tokyo, Japan. In September 2002, he was promoted to as professor, then, the doctor supervisor and vice director of Institute of Heavy Metal Metallurgy at School of Metallurgical Science and Engineering during January 2003 to December 2005. From December 2005 to June 2010, he worked as vice director of the Graduate School Admissions Office of Central South University, and then the director from June 2010 to June 2014. He was appointed chair professor of "Changjiang Scholar" in 2013 by the Ministry of Education. From June 2014 to July 2016, he became to work as director of HR. In July 2016, he was elected to date Vice president of Central South University.
