Chen Xiang, male, was born in October 1970, in Changsha, Hunan Province. His career stared in July 1993, when he graduated from Kagoshima University School of Medicine as MD in Dermatology. He has been entitled as professor, chief physician, and medical doctoral supervisor. He is currently positioned as vice president of Central South University.
From September 1988 to July 1993, he took undergraduate study in clinical medical at Hunan Medical University. From July 1993 to August 1994 he worked as teaching assistant at department of clinical laboratory at Hunan Medical University. From August 1994 to July 1997, he pursued master's degree in dermatology at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Medical University (currently The 2nd Xiangya Hospital), then he worked as treating physician and chief during July 1997 to August 2001. From September 2001 to August 2004, he was associate professor, associate chief physician at Dermatology of Xiangya hospital, Central South University. In January 2002 he obtained MD at Kagoshima University School of Medicine (Japan). In September 2004 he was promoted to professor and chief physician. During September 2006 to June 2010, he became director of HR at Xiangya Hospital. Later in 2009 he was appointed as chair professor of "Changjiang Scholar" by Ministry of Education. From June 2010 to April 2013, he became vice president of Xiangya Hospital. At the time of being director of Hospital Administration Office, he concurrently served as vice president of Xiangya Hospital during April 2013 to May 2013. In 2016, he was elected to be the vice president of Central South University.
