Zhou Kechao, male, was born in December 1962 in Hengyang, Hunan province. He joined the Party in November 1998 and took his job in July 1982. He is an engineering doctor of Materials Science Major of Powder Metallurgy Institute in Central South University of Technology. He is also a professor, a doctoral supervisor, a member of Standing Committee of CPC as well as the vice president of CSU.
From September 1978 to July 1982, he studied physics at Department of Physics of Hunan Normal University. From September 1986 to July 1989, he pursued MS in Solid State Physics at Department of Physics at University of Science and Technology Beijing. From September 1994 to May 1998, he majored in Materials Science for Ph.D at Powder Metallurgy Institute, Central South University of Technology. He became a lecturer in October 1989 and was promoted as an associate professor and a researcher in September 1996 and September 1999 successively. In April 1994, he served as the deputy director of Science and Technology Department of Central South University of Technology and the director of Science and Technology Department of CSU in December 2000. From October 2004 to September 2005, he studies abroad at University of Birmingham in UK as a senior visiting scholar. In November 2005, he served as the director of Science and Technology Department and became a member of Standing Committee and the vice president of CSU in April 2010.
