Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education of Congo (Kinshasa) Visits CSU

On the morning of Oct. 15, President Tian Hongqi met with Ms Yenga Wivine Wassako, Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education of Congo (Kinshasa), Bokombe Freddy Boala, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ngekene Pierre Andre, President of Foreign Affairs College of Congo (Kinshasa), and their delegation.

Tian Hongqi introduced the basic information of CSU in terms of school profile, talent training system and disciplinary characteristics. She said, “CSU is a distinctive university with a full variety of disciplines, mainly including non-ferrous metals, medicine, transportation, science and humanities and social sciences. At present, CSU has cultivated more than 100 excellent students for Congo (Kinshasa) in mineral, mining and business. We look forward to more in-depth cooperation with Congo (Kinshasa) in construction of the Confucius Institute.”

Ms Yenga Wivine Wassako made an introduction to the organization, functions, the higher education system and the talent training mode of the Ministry of Higher Education of Congo (Kinshasa) and expressed her wish to further promote the cooperation with CSU in education.

After the meeting, the delegation also had an informal discussion with the teachers and students of the French Language Department of the School of Foreign Languages.
